There is no bed frame. The mattress sits on a flat platform that runs out past it on every side, so what you see from the door is a walnut plane with a mattress resting on top rather than a box with a lid. The headboard is two plain panels, no more worked than they need to be. Feet are thick rounded blocks set well in from the corners, which is what lifts the whole mass and stops 180 by 212cm of platform reading as heavy. A low bed changes a room more than people expect.
